I just moved in on Nov. 1st 2007. I must say i am somewhat disappointed. First, i came to get my keys, they were nice enough to give me them early at 1:30 even though they said i wasnt allowed in til 4 but i was picking them up cause i wouldnt make it before the office closes at 6. So i got my apartment key, tried to get in on friday morning and the building doors are secure, not that i am complaining that the doors are secure, but they never gave ME the key to get in. Luckily someone was leaving for work and let me in. I called the office at 9:00 A.M. when they opened and let them know that i didnt have the key and that the closet door was broke and i coulnt not open the closet to put my clothes in, and my bedroom door handle was broke and i couldnt close it or i would not be able to get back in. She said she would put in a " Mantience Ticket" and i asked when i could expect to hear back, she said " as soon as we can get to it". Well its now been FIVE DAYS and i have not heard from them since friday when i made the call. What do they expect me to do with all my clothes, i cant get into the closet! Also, it was my first morning waking up in my aparment and its 8:00 A.M. and people are cussing their little hearts out down stairs, not to mention there is a kid who rides his scooter up and down the walk way to the door. Lets just say it wasnt what i was expecting. Some of my other concerns are that the lighting around the apartment and the parking lot is little to none, and very frightening i might add. Also, when i came to look at the apartments and decided to sign the lease i asked if i could see my apartment and she told me no that it was being remodeled, and i was expecting my aparment to be identical to what they were showing me. I came into MY apartment and was a little disappointed that there were still holes in the walls, dry puddy on the carpet, they tried to puddy the kitchen and the bathroom to patch some damage and didnt even sand it down, so as you can imagine, its not the prettiest site. Also, my main reason for choosing lakeshore was the indoor pool and the fitness center. Well i am sure you can imagine my annoyance when i got my keys and she said the fitness center was shut down til Dec. 1st for remodeling, so i am getting ripped off of a month. which may not seem like that big of a deal, but for the price i am paying it is to me. Overall, i like my aparment but i am not impressed with the service i have received thus far. I feel like as soon as they got the first months check, they werent concerned with me anymore. i honestly dont know if i would reccommend this place or not. i guess i will have to see how it goes.

CMC offers a 30-day guarantee. If I were you, I would find a place withing the next few days and use it and move out. You can get your deposit back and only have to pay for the days you were living in the apartment. It may be a pain to move again but it's worth it.. Trust me things will not get better. I have lived at a few CMC Properties and every property has a problem. They will recommend a different property, don't fall for it, just find somewhere outside of CMC.
