DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!

We currently live there and this is by far the worst place I've ever lived. I truly regret chosing to live here and would highly recommend you chose Lakeshore as a last resort. The place is falling apart although it is given an appearance that the places are being refurbished. There are bugs and insects routinely all over our apartment, it is way too hot to even sleep there most nights because you can't control the heat and even with a industrial fan blowing right on me it does no good. The apartments are extremely outdated and I honestly felt like we were living in a condemned building. The girls in the office are nice and it's usually not too long before maintenance gets to your place to fix it, but this apartment complex is absolutely awful and I can't stress it enough. Doors come off the hinges, the toilet breaks, the faucets had to be replaced; to say the least it was just a complete headache to have to call and get stuff taken care of all the time. Not to mention our power is still out from the great blackout even though everything around us has power, we don't. It's been 5 days now and I can't help but think it's because no one has been proactive and the place is a dump so no one is really too worried about getting the power back on, considering the light in front of the place and the clubhouse have power now but none of the apartments do. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE, just take my word for it. BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq

I live at Lakeshore too and this is what I saw.
Maintence guys rescuing dogs and cats from the buildings that got the roof blown off Sunday ,in the dark,
The Manager lady took each one of the people who lives in those buildings into there apartment and helped them carry stuff out, this is in a building that could have fell down, noone knows how bad is damaged and the roof still hanging down the back and in the trees. She is crazy.
A gang of people in the office on Sunday night cursing and yelling at the office ladys because the Red Cross people didnt put them in a hotel and they were just trying to keep everyone calm and get help them find someplace to stay. I saw hugs and people crying and nothing but everyone trying to help everyone out, except the two or three loudmouth, stupid jerks who think the world revolves around them.
If you really think that no one was proactive to get your lights back on you have a problem dealing with reality, I don't think Duke was asking who to put on and who to keep off, just ask the guy that gave the Duke people a hard time, when he gets out.
Is my apartment old and stuff breaks, yea but it always gets fixed.
My closet doors come off the hinge all the time because they are old,
but I asked for new ones and got some.
Hot yes but its free heat and saves me alot of money.
I guess Lakeshore is pretty old but I want to stay where people are willing to come and rescue me & my dog but I hope there are no more hurricans here.
Thats what I saw and I thought it was terrible too, teriibly impressive.
By the way, my lights are now on.

Well what I saw this Sunday was a community coming together to assist there own. I have to apologize for your electric. (No I think Mother Nature should apologize). The electric is on a grid, and that is not saying the clubhouse and the apartment complex is on the same grid. As for your heat I would not gripe you are getting it for free. If you hate it so much, SHUT UP AND GET THE HELL OUT

It is amazing that there are actually stupid enough people who think that thier electricity was deliberately kept off, like there wasn't enough going on with all the damage to think that someone would just not turn thier lights on is unbelievable.
Did they not know that there was 1.5 million people who were without electricity, not only must they live under a rock, they must have rocks in thier heads. Maybe they are not old enough to live on thier own yet, better go back home to mommy & daddy who probably did not have lights either.

o poor baby doesnt have electricity... well guess what? i didnt have a roof. i have a new apt and when i moved there was about half a dozen to a dozen people helping me move, including the leasing manager and some of the maintence staff. these people are great and if you think that you deserve special treatment for living there, get up and f*** off.
