I remember the days when I used to be able to call and get someone on the line. Every time I call now nobody picks up... Ever.
I've had numerous problems with the apartment. These range from paper thin walls to the fact that our hot and cold water are hooked up backwards... Not SO bad except when your toilet flushes hot water and your dishwasher uses the cold.
The 'gated off street parking' is great... except that the gate doesn't close, and all it does is place your car in a poorly lit alleyway. Perfect place for it to get broken into. The only defense you have is that very few people know where it is.
The garage parking spaces cost extra. I would normally have recommended them took keep your car safe and snow free, but recently the garage door broke and nobody could get out. If someone actually answered the phone perhaps the door would have been fixed to let people out of the garage to go to work...
The company is obviously hurting in this economy. I have seen tons of people moving out of the building, there are twice as many vacancies as are listed on their website. Every week I check the site and the prices keep dropping to entice people to move in. What used to go for $1300/mo (way overpriced) now goes for $995 (a bit less overpriced). For that price you would expect some extras... Like gates and doors that work. Landscaping that isn't rocks and dirt. Heck even a full time receptionist wouldn't hurt so that someone would answer the phone when you call.
The units are overpriced, the hallways smell like dogs, the walls are very thin, the neighborhood consists of the city snow removal services garage, a jail, and 2-3 defunct factory buildings. Not worth it in my opinion. It also sucks the day you realize you are paying $900 a month when a nicer apartment upstairs is being leased for $695.
