Mallard Lakes is a great place to live! The staff is genuinely friendly and responsive to any questions or concerns that I have. Since I'm new to Ohio, they were extra helpful in advising where the local stores were and even watched my fish when I had to be out of town and didn't know anyone well enough to ask. I can't say that watching tenants' pets is a regular thing they do, but they really came to my aid!
For the two times I requested repairs for my townhouse, the maintaince people were great. They arrived within the 48 hours from when I put in my request (once it was on the very same day!) and made sure I was happy with the repairs before leaving. That is service!
The price of the townhomes is slightly higher than others we priced, but none of the other places we looked at were nearly as SPACIOUS nor had TWO DOOR GARAGES. Plus, the walls are SOLID so I do not hear my neighbors' tv nor stereo, and they told me they never hear me practicing (I'm a musician), which is what really sold me on the place. I think it's worth the little extra in rent!
Garbage is picked up right from your driveway, so there is no late-night runs to the dumpster whenever the garbage can is full. Plus, there's recycling pickup as well!
The workout facility is far better than the "workout rooms" that I've seen in other places where it's two sad little treadmills from the '70s in a room no larger than a closet. Here, there's 4 or 5 machines in a spacious room with a huge tv (with cable) that you can angle to whichever direction you are facing. There is a water cooler in the room plus the drinking fountain right across the hallway. You get your very own key, so you can access it when it fits in your schedule.
Overall, I would recommend living at Mallard Lakes. It's quiet, scenic and well maintained by a professional staff that clearly takes pride in their work!
