so I've lived at mccauly for over a year back when nexus was in charge. With them it was great UNTIL the new company took over. Now I not only pay for Rent. I pay for Electric, Water, Sewage, trash, Common Electric (Outside lighting' Half the time the lights aren't even on!!! this is ridiculous) Pest Control (I called and they don't even know if they have pest around here, they are just doing a preventative spray, that I guess last ALL year round... meaning you pay 3.99 a month for pests that might not even be there.
When I first signed on here, I paid for my rent, water and sewage (this was just my own, NOT shared with my entire building) So that tripled my month water and sewage bills). I didn't pay for Trash, which is now 8.88 a month! I didn't pay for pest control (3.99 a month) or common electric (outside lights) This means that Mccauly crossing is making STRAIGHT profit from you. This place is a rip off.
All the small fees add up.

Agreed. The trash piles up far outside of the compactor before it's ever collected, and there's only one solitary dumpster/compactor for hundreds of apartments... The pest control, when called, has no clue what they're doing. This was proven in the fall with the Itch Mite epidemic in the county, and the fact that they had no clue about it. Many of the outside lights are out of commission and if you call the management, promises are made about fixing them but it never happens. These additional costs are bad enough, but there's also the fact that when you want something fixed it's always half-assed, and God forbid you ask about winter proofing at all. I was told to go to Home Depot if I wanted my bedroom to keep above 50 degrees with the thermostat set at 75 :( "Go buy yourself some of that plastic sheet wrap stuff" lol, what a joke.

It is a joke. It's like living in a circus. The HEARTLAND REGIONAL POWER CO. is ripping us off.
