You get what you pay for

This apartment is one of the cheapest in the area and you certainly get what you pay for. I'll start with the positives: they have a parking lot so you don't have to park on the street. The staff is pretty nice and they fix stuff really quickly. It is close to UC so you don't have to drive or pay for a parking pass. You can just ride the shuttle which stops by the apartment.
The negatives-This place is VERY small. Even the cabinets are little. I can barely fit my plates in there. It is VERY noisy. It's across the street from the hospital so you hear the helicopter several times a day as well as noisy ambulances. There are roaches and I don't know where they come from. There have been times where one crawls in my apartment and it is very disgusting. They need to call an exterminator. The place is really old. It's expensive to wash your clothes. The walls are very thin and you CAN hear your neighbors. The neighborhood is terrible. I've witnessed at least a few crime scenes in the neighborhood. The gate is always broken. A few times this has happened at night and I was locked out and felt extremely unsafe. The rent has gone up and I fear that it will go up again. There's not enough amenities to charge an arm and a leg here. So, you won't pay too much...but you'll definitely get what you pay for...and that's definitely not much.
