I didn't listen to these reviews when i was looking at Ravenswood...but i should have. This apartment is not at all what it seems. It has a great view, snazy new owners, and good location..but is just horrible. It's really loud. You can hear not only the people that live directly above you, which is somewhat normal in an apartment, but you can hear the guy in the apartment across the fireescape cough. not even kidding. Parking for yourself is fine because you can get a garage, but if you try and have anyone over they have to park a few blocks away. it has old time radiators that make noise alllll night long, i've been here a year and i haven't gotten used to it yet. the people who manage the property, Uptown Rentals, actually ALLOWS soliciters to come into the building and knock on your door, and because there isn't a peep hold, you actually have to answer the door to see who it is. Not the best idea if you live alone or are home alone. I just wouldn't move here again. It's a shame too because they are nicely located between rookwood, a great tavern across the street and Ault park too. Again, i would NOT live here.
