Yo!

Creatively designed charm - overall not too bad

The managers aren't too snobby (at least the new management team) and the buildings are really cute in the back section. The newer section is the place to be, but I wouldn't even fool with the older buildings.

What's cute about some of the 2 bdr/2 bath units is that you enter your apartment through a courtyard and it's very picturesque (and not too far a walk with groceries unless you live on the upper floor and have to walk up stairs). Most of the neighbors are pretty nice - I am actually quite surprised that most of them are middle-aged. This isn't a really young community but they don't discriminate against young people, as far as I know and we've lived pretty peacefully with the older people.

The water pressure is okay, but when you have 2 people living in a place you typically have to wait about 15 minutes before the other person can take a shower. It's decently soundproof, though you can still hear your neighbors somewhat if they're loud and obnoxious. The pool is smaller, but not very busy. It's a little more expensive than some of the other places but definitely probably worth it for the character given to the buildings. parking can sometimes be a problem in the section I live in, if a neighbor is having guests over.

They cater well to handicapped and the elderly and pretty much leave you alone except for the flyer on the door now and then reminding of some kind of party at the clubhouse - which usually sounds interesting, but I've not been to one. Not a bad place to live - what's really worth it is the nice walk to Blockbuster to get a movie on the weekend - in the same plaza is a Dairy Queen and Subway...and there is a Margaritas and a new restaurant called Feldy's if you want to have a few and stumble home on a sidewalk built so kindly by the Anderson Park District. I'd recommend this place. bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
