I have lived at Summit View for almost a year. I was scared to move there at first after some of the reviews about cars getting broken into and stuff, but I have never had a problem and I have a luxury car. Since the reviews that were posted about the issues, they have installed cameras in the parking lot to monitor the cars. They also have installed gated entries and monitor who enters after 11PM. I've never had a problem. Maintenance is a lil bit of a problem. They fix things, just not always properly or for long. I've never had a major issue, just little things. The snow removal is bad. They will just plow your car in and then expect you to unburry it yourself. They are nice and give you some ghetto shovels to use that are like broken and stuff, but they don't get even close to the cars and then you have 10 feet of snow to shovel. Parking is interesting too. The covered parking is like half full and it's some of the closest to the entrance. I swear that most of the people there never leave as I always have to park far away no matter when I come home. Overall Summit View isn't bad. I think you get what you pay for. My apartment is tiny and kinda ghetto, but I only pay $479 for a 1 bedroom so I can't really complain as most apartments are at least $600. The paid heat is nice too never was cold in the winter at all, usually opened a window cuz I was hot. I would definitely recommend it to someone who wants to save money and be close to downtown.
