Hi I have been a 5 year resident of summit view. First as a appartment renter now as a condo owner. I used to think this was a good place to live but after being here awhile and finding out about the people and staff I would never recomend you move here.
Last year I left mu condo for Christmas with my family. When I return there was water everywhere. Turns out a pipe under the sink broke. The was a cheap part they put on there to save a few bucks. We are talking a 3 dollar part vs a 8 dollar part. yalking to the people that fix things around here I come to learn that this isn't the first time this has happens. Apprently there have been numerous breaks involving this same piece. They knew about it and did nothing about it. So when mine breaks and causes 10,000 dollars in damage to my condo alone and someone needs to pay the bill no one is there. I was a little under-insured but there is from what I understand 600,000 dollars in the fund where the fees go and of course we could not use any of that to fix anything. This is the same as the Appartments so If it were to break you would not have to pay for the physical building but any personal items damaged would be lost. Not to mention the week I had to stay in a hotel while things were fixed. They won't pickup any of those costs either. If you live under a person this happens to you are out of luck to. I think the guy under me had 25,000 in damage and he had no help as well. So anything damaged he was footing the bill to
Simply put if they would have done some maintance on a known problem this would not have happened. They sold this condo to me and know about this problem but did nothing about it.
Next issue. I own a car the recently had a transmission stop working. It has been harmlessly sitting on the lot. Some of the snotty residents that live her complained about it so one day I come home and they car is gone. I was told I was called 3 times. I never talked to anyone. The person the office was calling my dad, which is not me, and he never gave me the message. So now I am stuck to a fee for this towing. I don't know what I am supposed to do. I was waiting for money to fix the car. I guess your supposed to have it towed to some far away street. Its not like it was an abandaned either they know full well I live here and had it towed anyway.
The neighbors her and completely crazy. They complain about everything. I know one girl who told me that her neighbors complain about everyday about her dog. Now she is being told that everytime she gets a complaint she had to pay 25 dollars. I guess she is going to pay another 25 dollars a day to live here.
I left a trash bag outside my door a few times. Each time I received a notice within a few hours that if I did not move it I would be fined 25 dollars.
As you can see there is a pattern here. If you are considering moving her and buying a condo here, do not do it. I know in posting this I might be hurting myself because I will have to sell this one day but I just can't take it anymore. I fell I have a duty to let you know about my problems.
The walls here are very thin. If your neighbors are fighting having sex or whatever you get a front line show. You get to here the play by play.
In terms of safty I think a car gets broken into at least nightly. They have added this gate at one entrence and a guard at the other. Problem with that is if you don't ever have the guard down there how is he supposed to protect the cars. My car has been broken into on 3 different occasions. If you expect to live here expect to have your car broken into. They have put these cameras in that are supposed to make you feel better. My friend once lived here and had his car broken into and he said someone should check the camera. The response was " they were no on" So you can see that is not going to help either.
In terms of construction you heard the story above. there is also a light outside my condo and anytime it goes out I have to put up a new one myself because no one will fix it. Yet another example. You have been warned. Do not move to Summit View.

I feel sorry about the guys car problem, that is BS. But the whole insurance thing, come on. Why would you be under insured when you own a property? It would be the same if you owned a house. Something happens, you flip the bill on everything. That is what insurance is for. His lazy ass could take his trash out, its even closer than the dumpsters i have to walk to. I know i live in the apartments and walk across the parking lot. i appreciate that they don't let the residents trash the place.

I would think that if the gentleman is that fustrated and the living conditions at Summit View are that terrible then I should see a "For SALE" sign posted near his condo any day now. I'm sure that this "owner" along with anyone who purchases a condo at Summit View received a copy of the Bylaws . My recomendation to him ....... Pick up the book and Read it." Why should my condo fees provide you with relief from a leaking sink? As far as the broken down car in the parking lot....... Summitview is not a junk yard or a holding spot for cars waiting to go to the repair shop. If you can t afford to fix it then get rid of it.
The walls at Summit view are clearly not paper thin ..... The condos have firewalls between them that are approximately 12 inches of solid concrete. If he can hear his neighbors fighting and having sex ..... he like the bionic woman ----- have medically enhanced hearing.
SummitView is a great place to live ...... Neighbors are like family! Again, if he hates it that much here .... my one suggestion to him is this ... "MOVE."
