When I first moved in I was assured the carpets would be cleaned. They were not. I called the office staff the same day I moved in and was assured they would send someone to clean the carpets. 3 months later they still hadn't cleaned the carpets. I contacted the office and they said it had been delayed, would be done in 2 weeks. 6 months after that it still hadn't been done. I have 4 months until my lease is up and my flooring looks a mess. I made sure on my check in sheet to make it very clear that all the flooring should have been replaced before I moved in and it wasn't done.
On top of that it took 2 phone calls for them to fix my disposal when it broke. When they finally fixed it they left me snotty note about what clogged it. My towel bar broke in the bathroom and even though I have called multiple times, spoke with 3 different leasing agents, it still hasn't been fixed.
Plus one of my neighbors had tons of people over at all hours of the day and night. They would loiter around the building and parking lot, being loud, smoking pot, leaving beer cans, grafiti, etc. all over the building. They have had the cops called on them at least half a dozen times. There was a knock down, drag out fight in front of the building between 2 of her guys one night. They woke me up out of a sound sleep, and when the cops questioned her about it, she totally denied it. Shortly after that I asked the rental office to have maintenance install a charlie bar on my patio door since I'm on the ground floor, and it has yet to be done. They finally moved out about a month or so ago and even after they moved the cops still come looking for them.
The countertops and appliances are all 20 years old. The parking lot totally needs to be repaved and the neighboring apartment complex residents constantly trying to sneak into the pool. There was no attempt made by the leasing office to regulate it in any way, shape or form.
I only have a few months left on my lease and I will definitely NOT be renewing my lease. Not only am I definitely not getting my money's worth here but they are going to jack up my rent. Totally not worth it! I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you can afford absurd rates and deal with all the drama.
UPDATE:
When I moved out, I called the leasing office to schedule my walk through. No one called me back until after I moved out (30 miles away) and said "I'll be at your apartment in 10 minutes!" Needless to say I was not there. I never hear back from them, so I'm assuming everything is ok. I was wrong. I get a letter in the mail almost a month later, asking me for late fees. I tried to call the office and was told no one was in the office who I could speak with about this (then why did she answer the phone') I requested an itemized list of what I owed. I refuse to pay any late fees because they have my cell phone number they could have called me first! This place is riduculous and I'm so glad to be finished with them!
