Tudor Court Okay

I lived at Tudor Court from 2000-2003. The building is okay.

First of all, it's in the heart of the Gaslight District. Centrally located to everything, so that is cool. Also, the managment is very quick to fix any maintenance problems you have, so that's also a great thing. I never saw a rodent in my apartment, although every Spring there were these annoying little bugs near my bathroom window. I used Raid to get rid of them.

The main problem I had with this complex were the RUDE neighbors and the lack of security. Now, living on Ludlow you are going to be used to noise, but the actual tenants at Tudor Court are some of the rudest people on the face of the planet. Loud (and I mean LOUD) music at 3:00 am, parties way into the morning, etc. The guy that lived across from me used to play hide and seek in the halls with his friends at 2:00am. I'm not kidding! I did complain enough to get him kicked out, but still he was not just an isolated incident. Part of the problem is that the walls are so thin. You will hear everything. And, I mean that.

The other problem I had was that the building was supposed to be secure, however it wasn't! The door was never locked. Actually, the last year I was there there was a home invasion and the girl's boyfriend was murdered outside the building. It would have never happened if the building was actually secure like it should have been.

Now, I know that sounds awful, but this building is not in the ghetto. I heard of no other criminal incidents in this building other than that. But, the lack of security should give you pause. Unless they fixed it, then nevermind.

Also, my rent was raised $15 every year I was there, I think. Also, parking is bad, but what do you expect living in the heart of the city' Sometimes I had to park a couple of blocks from my building, but never too far.
