Been living in Williamsburg just over two years. Seen trash come and go, but more still around with no respect for ones personal space.
If the truth is that Towne Properties have taken over management of Williamsburg, they need to start filtering out the nuisances immediately. I pay on time, my family keeps to themselves, and yes, I am fed up with inconsiderate renters.
Towne Properties also should send out a questionairre to the residents about their living arrangements (i.e. number of people on the lease in the household, care of grounds, appliances, and just any other problems or compliments that they have). This would give them an idea on how to work on bringing this place back to a better community in Cincinnati, despite the Hartwell location.
Also, they need to sign a contract with Orkin, or another pesticide business. My home is infested with millipedes. Not just an occasional one or two. We have hundreds in our downstairs (that we now refuse to go to other than the wash clothes) and they are migrating to the upper levels.
I see promise here. Grounds are looking better, maintenance is quick to respond, although maintenance's lives would be so much easier if Williamsburg used some of their revenue to update the appliances. I believe my stove/oven, was probably the first electric stove/oven to come off the assembly line. Yeah it works, but I cannot read the numbers on the oven, have been rubbed off since we moved in and never replaced. Good thing is, our family grills a lot.
I like someones idea in here about staffing the gatehouses, it would definetly give residents a sense of security, although I don't feel unsafe, just distracted, and by that, I mean noise pollution from both sides, across the street, in the street from kids and fights between a certain young man and woman daily in the parking lot and I don't think they even live in the complex.
It's not the greatest place, but definetly not the worst either. It shows promise, and with a little time, effort and planning by the staff and Towne Properties, this place can be an excellent community for working families, college students and retirees.
About section 8, I do think they are in here amongst the residents, but unfortunately, it is a law or something. I don't care what color you are, respect yourself and respect others, and when you have guests, tell them to park in visitor parking, not out in front of someone elses door, then get in a confrontation with the renter of the spot they have taken. It is us that pay to live here, not them. Have them be a little more respectful. Then again, someone at the gate, checking people in would solve this, to enter, you either would have to be the renter or have to get approval from the renter to enter the complex. Why is this not in the forseeable future'
