Horrendous

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
This was the absolute pits in living conditions that I could possibly imagine. I had a horrible spider/bug problem. Being on the ground floor, I imagined I would get a few bugs come in, but nothing like what I experienced. Almost every morning I woke up and would find a spider or some type of bug, some bigger than a half dollar, on my wall or in my bathtub. They would come in from the mulch around the plants just outside of my porch. Then, my neighbors above me would often turn their rap music on their stereo system full blast which the bass was so loud it would just vibrate the ceiling. I can't count how many times I had to take a broom handle and hit the ceiling. Then, in the wintertime, I got a mice problem. In a span of a month, I killed 4 mice. They had built a nest in the pipes of my kitchen sink. I went to the front office to complain and their response was, "Oh, well we got a lot of complaints each year due to mice. People have to realize that that can be expected since these apartments are older." WTF kind of response is that''' I lived in an older complex when I was in college in Northern KY and never once did I see a mouse or have any kind of problem with bugs. When I moved the day my lease was up, I was told my deposit $$ would be mailed to me within a month. A month came and went -- no deposit $$. I called down there and they told me it was still at the main office and they'd have to call them. I waited another 2 weeks and still nothing, so then I kept calling them every other day until I received it in the mail. Bottom line: I wouldn't recommend this -------- if it was the last place on Earth.
