Don't move here!

I'd like to reiterate what everyone else has already written. Ever since Karam took over there's been a mass exodus. Everyone in the middle of their lease was notified that their rent was going up. Those that fought it were able to have their original terms reinstated but those that weren't familiar with Ohio tenant laws were victimized. Folks - please understand that if you write a check for the NEW amount here in the state of Ohio, you have agreed to the new terms thus the contract change is perfectly legal!
For two years, I heated my apartment with space heaters as they were more energy efficient than the antiquated furnace. Don't get me started on the heater ducts being on the ceiling. Anyone smarter than a 5th grader knows basic physics states warm air rises and you guys decided to put the hot air on the ceiling. It ain't going to sink!!!!
In addition, there was a note stuck in my door stating my lease was near the end and they needed to do a walk through before granting me a renewal. The note also stated that they had tried to gain access last fall and were unable to. Um, HELLO it's incredibly illegal to enter an apartment without 24 hours advanced notice except for an emergency! What the heck were you doing trying to get in my apartment and why'
I'm holding my breath as far as a security deposit goes. I moved out and bought a house instead. Who Hoo! No more neighbor upstairs with a pool table over my bed! (yes, I'm serious!)
Last year they came through and ripped out a bunch of the beautiful trees and bushes saying they were bug infested. They why have you left all the ripped out roots of the bushes laying everywhere' The poor roots are starting to grow new foliage but they are just laying on top of the grass. Look at all the mud everyone has to walk through to get to their apartments now that you've ruined the drainage!
Please, there are several other apartment complexes to live in with much better reputations. Run away and run fast from the "gated" (where are the gates') community. The parking lot is getting empty fast and I've seen a lot of Uhauls lately!
