If they do not respond to your maintenance demands, do the following: DO NOT communicate anymore, verbally; ONLY in writing! Send a letter to the Management Office and Karam Companies, by certified mail. If they do not respond within a certain period, (refer to Ohio Landlord/Tenant Rules) which will give you advice on how to begin putting your rent into escrow. Also review your lease thoroughly and see if this lack of maintenance violates the Landlord/Tenant Agreement, which would may allow you to move out before your lease expires!.....The key to all of this is to make sure that the Management office and Karam Companies have been made aware more than once, in writing, of your hazardous conditions! This is the beginning of a "paper trail", which can ultimately lead to your ability to legally break your lease, or to take other legal measures! Look on the internet and find the Ohio Landlord/Tenant Rules. It explains the rules Always keep copies of the letters that you send, along with the signed mail receipt, showing that they received your letters! Good Luck

Justicia1 is exactly correct. Keep in mind that this condition in your home could lead to mold and then health problems. The health department may be another agency to turn to as well.

I feel so bad for you an your situation! i can sympathisize completely. Anyways, I am almost done with this place. Dropped off my last rent check. Also for those of you who havent or dont know about BBB, I suggest looking at Akron's Better business bureau and filing a complaint!! Search Karam Companies and file a complaint http://www.akron.bbb.org/search.asp.. hope this helps

Don't do any work for them either, they Do Not Pay !!!! We have completed 5 units for them and have not gotten a penny of our pay !!!!! In the process of taking legal action and going to the local news station!
