My husband I moved here in November of 2008. We knew we were taking a risk by moving here... we read the apartment ratings and rolled the dice hoping that we would make out better than some others. Honestly, this isn't the worst place I've lived in... but it's far from the best. Our neighbors are decent but, maintance takes forever to repair things or they "lose" the request... so far the office staff seems like they want to do things right, but just do not have the backing or enough staff to do it. I wouldn't describe our apartment as being "thin-walled" but there are leaks in the window and door seals. We put plastic over our windows this passed winter, and still paid almost $200 a month for electric. Our outside stairway railing into the actual apartment building is barely attached to the concrete steps, the driveway cement is crumbling apart and our friends refused to visit us until Karam fixed the driveway potholes that littered the street to our apartment this winter/spring... We are looking forward to our lease being up and being able to move in a couple months. I honestly agree that we need to form a renters union... if we could get out of our lease earlier, we would... we will not be renewing our lease. lGjq8RUBjvsZjkb5ueji

It saddens me to read the posts to this website. I have been a resident here for 7 years. I must say that I have seen a huge improvement since the new management took over. Roof replacement, siding, pools, windows, heating systems, foundations I could go on. It is obvious to me that the people writing on this website are those of the technological world that refuse to get out and see things for what they realy are. If any of you would walk the complex you would see the beauty and the time spent in bringing this property from the deplorable state it was three years ago to now. As a matter of fact, the city has even commented several times in local publications on the quick turn around here. I for one refer all of my friends to the complex. In closing, I can tell you that three of the people that have posted are my neighbors and I see eviction notices on your doors monthly. Pay your rent and you would not be so quick to jump. You would not have the constant feeling like you have to attack to cover your own wrong doing.

To the resident of 7 years, please travel to building 8 by pool #1 and the tennis courts. There is no net for the tennis court and people use it for their pets. The brick walls are crumbling and there is trash everywhere from the riff-raff that has been allowed to live here. Walk through the hallways and see the garbage that sits there because management does not ensure clean common areas. There are no gates on the patios (that were promised)and the paint on the building is peeling along with the dangling shutters that also were to be replaced more than a year ago. There were some great ideas initially but it seems as though the money has stopped flowing.

To the resident of 7 yrs... I dont know what you are looking at. I've been here for 5 years and am very particular about what I seen going on. When Karam first got here they were making changes not all for the better, cutting down tree that gave the place distinction, instead of it looking like the projects. I must say there was one area where removing the shubbery did make an approvement. Over all most of the changes were unnecessary. Relacing all of the windows was a good idea, but they have to be properly installed. Now my townhouse is colder than ever in the winter(good thing I have a unit where I dont pay the heat, they do, but I control it... toastaay). I have not met anyone who has like Karam or what they have done and I talk to alot of people in the neighborhood.

I really need to respond to the resident of 7 years if this is actually a real resident and I hope it is. I have been here twice as long as you have and please trust me when I say this is the worst condition that this complex has been in. In the recent week there have been efforts to correct some of the landscaping problems and fixing back ordered complaints to fix things in individual apartments. I challenge you to walk around the complex and look at infrastructure ie. the siding of buildings, fencing that has not been completed leaving those tenants with no privacy, quality of new tenants due to lowering of rent to simply fill space to bring in money, loud music coming from many cars that has not been addressed that we can hear in our homes, fountains that lay empty full of stagnant water and debris, pools that are sporatically open and close without notice, an advertised gated community that is NOT totally gated, a fitness room that leaves a lot to be desired, a tennis court that was turned briefly into a landing pad for the corporate helicopter leaving residents with no net to play tennis, and no real areas for our kids to play in that are safe with up to date equipment. Remember that all of these promises were made when Karam took over this complex. When I go outside at night the place is pitch black because of lights that are broken or simply not working due to electrical problems. If these things do not bother you as a tenant where you live and pay rent for a good quality of life and to enjoy the items that have been promised or advertised then this if the place for you. Most of us are not satisfied with the current status. I do believe that the front office is trying to do their best to make things right but their hands seem to be tied by Karam who will or can not provide monies to finish projects or begin new ones.
