If you are reading these reviews and wondering on whether or not to move in here.. please, let me stop you!

There is a reason why almost every review for this complex is negative. To put it frankly, this place sucks. Just a quick drive through the complex will show you how run down this place is. The weeds and brush is half as tall as some of the buildings.. The front of my own building looks absolutely disgusting. I am actually embarrassed to have people over! People are constantly telling me how much this place has gone downhill. The fountains inside the complex have no water in them making it look like a ghost town. The pools are nasty and full of rowdy kids and teenagers. There are so many black kids that the water is greasy... completely unusable.
Also, this place is just overrun with black people. Take that as you will.

The roads are completely riddled with potholes that they just filled not too long ago.. But they will be back in the winter! Seriously, it felt like you were "off-roading" it in your car while driving down the street here!

The only thing this complex has going for it are the apartments themselves. They do have high ceilings, great layouts, and are clean and very nice looking. THat is ONCE YOU'RE INSIDE!! On the outside, they look like ----.

My point is, the price of the rent is too high for what you get. Karam properties suck! HORRIBLE managemnet

And now there's all this business with Karam not paying their Duke bills! Now hundreds of residents have put their rent in escrow because we all recieved letters from Duke saying our electric could be cut off because they have not paid their bills!!! absolutely ridiculous!!

Quite simply put, you are a racist and your points were valid until you brought race into the picture. Move back to the south or wherever you came from!

my complaints are valid. and, i'm sorry, but when you get a bunch of people with greasy hair in a pool... the water gets a nasty film covering the surface. I'm not saying I don't make judgements based on race, but I'm hardly ignorant. I know the truth hurts.. Also, I never blamed any tenants for the bad property management. You should understand what someone is saying before you criticize them. properly conjugate a verb? now you're just desperately reaching for insults.

First Thing, Anonoymous: You remind me of the old days, when people thought color would come off in the water, and that's why Black students had to wait until last bell to take swimming! "Unbelieveable"!! You are simply, to say the least, utterly ridiculous, and VERY ignorant! I've lived here since 1994 and some of my WORSE experiences with neighbors, have been with white ones!....Oh, not so steretypical uhh?? I would bet that if the management was doing it's part, then half of this stuff would not be happening! Where there is poor or no leadership, you see chaos....No matter what the race, or the place! As far as your apartment looking terrible outside! Well, it IS YOUR HOME, so take care of it while you're in it! I know that Karam is suppose to pull the weeds, but it is my home, so I pull them. I'm NOT going to live in filth or weeded areas, if I have anything to do with it. You can either have a "section 8" mentality, or just clean-up, pull the weeds, AND STILL COMPLAIN TO THE MANAGEMENT!! As for me, my dwelling is going to look presentable NO MATTER WHERE I LIVE OR WHO IS RESPONSIBLE!!!...BECAUSE "I" LIVE HERE!!

Well the truth does hurt! It's popular to be ignorant and violent in black culture. This leads to poor care of your community. Look @ Avondale, Winton Terrace, Fairmont (north and south) Millvale, Clifton Heights, Coreyville, an the list goes on and on. Don't hand me the BS racist ---- because I am black and it saddens me to see our culture in this state. All you self righteous white people who are so "accepting" need to get with it. "Move back south" what a freaking joke. You are pushing your beliefs on someone else. Everyone has the right to believe and speak what the want. When Towne owned that place they kept it clean. Now it's filthy b/c mgmt does nothing. They also take anyone w/o regard to how they will treat the place they will be living. Hence crime has risen dramatically there. Get over it he speaks the truth. I have not seen grease in the pool, but we do use different hair products! FYI white people when you get wet you smell like wet dog! That's a black racist comment we ALL make! You have no idea what we really think of you. We just own your media and sports. Keep worshiping us.

Enough of this racism crap! You know if it wasn't for the owners of this property none of this stuff would have been said in the first place. Nobody would have even put comments on here. You people need to think about where you live and whar is going on around you as far as the owners. Quit trying to blame it on everything else. Go after the owners!

Well I have to say in regards to a property owned my Karam, that your problems are happening also in Pittsburgh at Leland Point and pretty much every other property he owns. He's a slum lord and runs his properties as such. Race has nothing to do with how the properties look. Danny Karam just cannot run a company. He expects every tenant to pay their rent but then puts that money into a trust fund for his kids. He doesn't pay bills (Leland Point's bldgs are always shut off, even the leasing office). It's a disgrace. I think that everyone who has a problem with your state of living should report it to the health dept IMMEDIATELY! The man walks around like he is above everyone but in fact, he is the one causing the issues because he DOES NOT PAY his contractors to complete work. Leland Point had it's pool shut down for almost a month because he hires people who think they are above the rules and they opened it without a lifeguard!!! It sounds like you guys are having the SAME EXACT problems we have here. It's ridiculous and pathetic! Stop paying your rent, tell them it'll go into an escrow account until the property is brought up to par!!! Trust me, your issues are the same issues at every single other Karam property! Make your voices heard!

Leave race out of this! It's not a racial issue! Simply put, Williamsburg is a DUMP. If your expectations of an apartment community are so low that you think otherwise, then you are part of the problem. Karam Properties is the classic slum landlord. The primary reason why Karam treats their properties and tenants this way is because they can get away with it. Until one day when their house of cards collapses in a court of law. That's exactly where this whole disaster is headed - to court. A local law firm (Hyle & Mecklenbourg) is compiling a massive file of tenant complaints. Don't suffer in silence. Be part of a tenant solution, not a management problem. Speak up!

Along with a false sense of superiority. If you hate living here so bad go and buy a home- with a pool even- in a "nice" community. Face it you're broke and no better than those you judge.
