SICK OF IT

I have lived in this apartment for about 2 years as of Oct 2008. At this point, I have had more problems then I care to even write. My toilet exploded to the point where I had water leaking through my bathroom, back into my closet and outside of my bedroom. The water damage not only ruined my carpet, but the neighbor below came up and asked what was going on because water was pouring from the ceilings. I called Brian in a panic (maintenance) and he said "you know, this is after my hours, I'll send someone out Monday!!" as this was Saturday afternoon. So, the water sat there for 2 days, ruined my carpet, and after asking the carpet be repaired-we got new carpet so they raised my rent to cover it!!

Next, as I was up early Saturday morning on my way to work, the gate was completely broken to the point where you couldn't get out and were trapped in. Again, I called Suzanne (landlord) and Brian (maintenance) -got no return call. It is now Tuesday, December 9th, no return call, no fixed gate -but you better believe my rent check was surely cashed today. Someone apparently pushed the gate open enough to get your car out- but it's not fixed, I missed work Saturday morning, and lost $100 at work. In addition, to not a single response, explanation, fix, NOTHING about this gate or apologies about MY MISSING work.

Another time, I had new furniture delivered but a company-and BRIAN (Maintenance) had his truck blocking the movers entrance in the garage. So, I call Brian, ask him to move his truck so my furniture doesn't get nicked, and Brian actually has the audacity to say "I'm out to lunch can't you wait'" I said listen sir I have an appointment here I need my furniture I'm not paying for them to come back to accommodate your lunch hour. He said "have them go through the front door-they'll figure it out." Blatantly refused to moved his truck, wouldn't come back to let them in, and was RUDE as hell about it. Very unprofessional, this goes along with Suzanne.

Everytime I get a bill under my door it's wrong, they cant even keep track of their own billing. Or they hope you dont pay attention and will overpay them for.....um.... well.... (you get the point).

As we speak, I am currently writing them a latter- addressed to include Brian and Suzanne, along with their superiors about all of the above. Saturday with the gate was truly my final straw with these people. I am also going to suggest putting my rent money into an escrow account-the money will be there and they will receive it upon completing the tasks at hand. That includes: a gate for a parking lot (not even a garage) for which I pay $100/mo to be in working condition, a toilet that doesn't explode when I use it, a bill with the correct price of rent, and a maintenance man who is professional-and knows when to move his truck open request.

I know these are very big challenges and a lot of hard, enduring requests. Lets see what their superiors think when they get my letter, and a court document suggesting an escrow account until this get fixed. AGAIN.

This is a great representation of this apartment complex and those that are in charge of running it. Sounds very similar to situations that I was dealing while I was living there a few months ago. Unfortunately, sounds similar to situations that I am still dealing with in terms of lack of communication from them currently! I can totally relate the to plumbing issues. While in the apartment the toilet in the apartment above me did overflow and was leaking through the floor into my kitchen!!! I really don't need to go into any further detail on this. When it would rain hard - the hall way ceiling would leak and I lived on the 5th floor - there are 6 floors!!! Not to mention the new bar that would set off the fire alarm 1-2 times a day which would cause you to have to use the stairs... and those are a safe option if there was actually a real fire! Some of the steps move/flip up when you walk on them...
