Someone broke into my apartment and car.

Ok, let me begin by saying that Alan Perlman (manager) is a nasty, nasty man. He just sucks in everyway imaginable. He kept half my security deposit, including $50 for the ceiling in the bathroom that got moldy, which wasn't my fault given the lack of a fan. There was nothing I could have done to prevent this.
Ok, why is everyone who lives here so unfriendly'' They don't even respond to a hello. Even rude at times.
Ok, here goes the worst part. Someone broke into my apartment. I was asleep when it happened. I lived on the ground level and there is a back door that they broke in through. Nothing was taken though since I was a poor student at the time and didn't own much. I ended up making this door completely nailed shut with wood. I was so scared after this happened and I would suggest sleeping with your bedroom door locked.
Also, my roommate's car was broken into in the underground, locked, supposed secure garage. They broke a window and stole CDs. These two break-ins occured within my first few months of living there, but I had a least I had to stick out.
Perlman lied about getting our letter saying we were not going to renew our lease and told us we were automatically locked into another year. Send in your letter months in advance if you do live there, or he will screw you over. I was only able to get out of this place because I found some friends to take over the lease. Months later I found my return card from the letter we sent him indicating that he did in fact sign for the letter and it was received in time.
Hmmm... conveniant to Case, quiet. Don't feel secure in that underground garage though, no one ever shut the door. Also, there was an ant problem.
Now the move out- the maintence men showed up two days early and while we were not there. They took what we had left in the apartment and threw some of it away and put only like one thing in the storage unit which I was able to get back. Then Perlman charges us because they had to move some of our stuff. Not our fault they were given wrong dates.
Don't live here. It was my first place and it was a pain in my neck. Also, the whole thing Perlman did with our lease, locking us into another year, I believe it is illegal now in Ohio because of new laws, just watch out.
