Great Location, Good Landlord, A little noisy

The apartment is situated in a great location known as Severance Circle. Shops, post office, bank are all within a quick walk. Management is good and they take care of any issues promptly. The only problem is the noise which is hit or miss depending on where your unit is located. Since the Fire Dept. and Police Station are close by if your apartment unit is facing the road you are gonna be looking at sirens from police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks a few times per day. There's also the building generator which turns on and self tests once a week for a very loud 45 min. Don't bother opening any windows if you want to hear anything during these 45 min. It also makes this bizarre humming noise, loud enough to hear, during the fall and winter months sporadically that lasts anywhere from a few hours to 24 hours (yes, you read that correctly. A torturous humming noise for 24 hours straight!). If you do plan on moving here just be sure to get a unit facing the parking lot otherwise the noise may just drive you a little crazy.
