Overall, this is a mixed review of these apartments. When I moved in, I was essentially the victim of a bait and switch. I was shown a couple different apartments which included amenities such a completely redone bathroom and a closet in the living room area. I asked for a list of things that would be done to the apartment, but never received this. Unfortunately, I never pursued the matter. When I moved in, repairs and modifications to the apartment that were promised were shoddily done. For example, the cast-iron tube was put in perpendicularly to the shower head, which made it extremely difficult to shower. The toilet was put in right next to the door, and they did not leave enough space so instead of fixing the problem they simply mounting it at an angle. Despite having redone the kitchen which adjoined the bathroom, no electrical outlets were put into the bathroom. Several spots on the floor exhibited damage from radiators that were either left unfixed or fixed shoddily. Lastly, the apartment was delivered with all the dust from construction left everywhere, as well as paint flecks all over the floor (I asked that they clean the paint flecks, but it was never fixed.).

The kitchen was nice with new granite counters and new appliances, which is a rarity in cleveland. Overall, aside from the problems listed above and the fact that I was lied to during the leasing process, the apartment was acceptable.

My biggest issue occurred at the end of my lease, when I tried to get my security deposit back. I received a notice that I had paid one month's rent late, and had not paid for the month of December. Knowing that neither of these things were true, I provided check copies to the leasing office and assumed that would be the end of it. However 1 month after I moved out, I still had not received my security deposit and when I called the office, they again stated that their records showed I had not paid a month's rent. I again provided them with copies of the checks in question, and long story short, I had to threaten legal action before I spoke to an accounts manager who solved the problem.

Overall, the apartments themselves were not bad, but neither were they all that good. The work that was done (with the exception of the kitchen, for the most part) was almost universally shoddy, but updates were at least attempted. My biggest issue is that the people that leased the apartment to me pulled a bait and switch, and were replaced as soon as the building was leased. All in all, if you get to see the physical apartment in a completed condition and are happy with it, it will probably be fine, but i would never rent an apartment in the process of being refurbished from them again. Also, as with most large leasing companies, you have to watch them like a hawk and document everything.
