I just read the two comments posted about Lewis Manor, and I couldn't disagree more. I lived in Lewis Manor for over three years (all through grad school, 1999 - 2002) and NEVER had a problem with maintenance or management. (And I'm INCREDIBLY picky about where I live.) The building's construction is EXCELLENT compared to cardboard-thin "apartments" one sees nowadays; hardwood floors are certainly going to be loud but not unbearable. That's the price you pay when living in an older neighborhood with older buildings; you want Berber carpet, look elsewhere. As for maintenance, they ALWAYS came ASAP when I had a problem ... even at 4:00 a.m. on a Saturday when my toilet was leaking. Perhaps it was because I was actually nice to them. (One reviewer claimed everyone was "rude" at Lewis Manor. Perhaps that was a reaction to the reviewer') The prices aren't cheap, but consider the crap you find all over Cleveland Heights, and you'll be thrilled with Lewis Manor. The parking lot isn't right off building's main doors, but neither are many parking lots in semi-urban areas. It seems the negative reviewers need a little more suburbia and a little less charm. If you want a unique, well-built, and safe place to live, I'd recommend Lewis Manor.
