I've been living in this building for the last 9 months, and other than a few early issues with the landlord, have few complaints about the building-- compared to reviews of the other apartments on Overlook found on this website, this place is fantastic.
It's an old building, and the landlord is a very old but very nice man who has always been good about getting the back parking lot cleared when there is snow, getting maintenance people out ASAP when things break, and in general being very responsive when there are problems with the apartments. Like many other apartments in the area it's radiator heated, so you do have to deal with the radiators making weird noises in the winter, but the rent is a very good price for such a large apartment (with heat included!). The apartments are in good condition, but don't expect brand new kitchens, bathrooms, etc-- the building has been maintained but not necessarily updated recently. It's a great place for graduate or professional students because of the close proximity to Case, and because it is reasonably priced. My main complaints are the inflexibility about pets, tenants are not supposed to sublet, and all moving into/ out of the apartment is supposed to be via the back fire escape staircase (definitely not safe in the winter, and generally difficult even when it's nice out).
