I lived at Lake Park Tower from 2003-2005. The building is located in East Cleveland, one of the most crime-ridden towns in the Midwest, yet their security is completely unreliable. Some mornings recently the front desk has been left unstaffed. Cars in the outdoor parking lots VERY regularly have their windows smashed and are broken into. even the "secure" underground parking garage has poor surveillance and my car was broken into there after only 1 month living in the building................................................. Many areas of the garage are apparently not covered by cameras at all or are covered only by cameras which are not at all regularly monitored. This building needs an ARMED guard on premises 24 hours, and they need to cover all the parking spaces in the garage with a continuously moitored camera. If this requires charging an extra $20 per month, then so be it. Right now there s no "savings" from no paying that extra bit in rent, because it costs hundreds of dollars to replace the car window and the stereo and whatever else is stolen due to lack of security................................................... The front door has a desk attendant, but the back door does not. The back door needs a 24-hour armed guard or it must be closed ........................................................... Most seriously, I spoke with an older woman who has lived in the building for 15 years, and she said her APARTMENT ITSELF had been broken into. In short, STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUILDING. The risk to your car and, more seriously, your life, is not worth the lower rent. PS-The management company, Kohner Properties, is not responsive to complaints at all. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn
