Reserve Square is a terrible place to live. My husband and I are counting the days until we can move out. The apartments are poorly insulated. You hear doors slamming in the hallways all night long. Lots of college kids. Not the place to live if you like some peace and quiet. Drug deals right out in front of the building. Less than a block to the Greyhound station. Fire alarms go off at least twice a week, no matter what the time of day. It takes approximately 10 minutes to shut off!! I am tired of the boy who cried wolf routine....if there is ever a real fire here, count me dead....Plus, who can ignore NASTY laundry rooms, in dire need of repair. It doesn't get much worse than Reserve Square!

The fire alarm problem has abated somewhat since this original posting, but it still occurs -- as recently as day before yesterday as I worked at home. The "boy who cried wolf" aspect of the alarms is _very serious_ and has not been effectively addressed. (Neither by the Cleveland Fire Marshall or equivalent, btw.) When I evacuated the building at one of the 2:00 am alarms some months ago, I was the only person to come down, and the security guard on duty was particularly unhelpful as to proper procedure. This resident behavior is a recipe for a building on fire with formerly complacent people jumping from windows to save their lives. This is a community issue where K&D has missed the opportunity to show leadership and really demonstrate some care for its tenants.
