There are a lot more options ... elsewhere

My husband and I lived here since June 2005. We have the same story. Great when Equity was running the show, awful after K&D took over.
I echo everything said by other reviewers: parking is a nightmare after 10pm; fire alarms go off all the time; decor is awful with wallpaper and exposed walls after replacing lamps; fire alarms go off all the time; area around trash chute stinks, and the waft goes down the hall way on most floors; fire alarms go off all the time; elevators are so slow and frustrating; fire alarms go off all the time; business office is not friendly; fire alarms go off all the time; mailman is borderline evil (although that's out of K&D's control); fire alarms go off all the time; and new office promotion is 100% false advertising.
Each time I walk past and see new people signing up, I want to run in and stop them.
Friends of ours just got a lovely warehouse loft in Tremont (3 minutes from Downtown) for less than we were paying, and it was BRAND NEW. Some may say that Tremont is a dodgy area to live, but being next to the Greyhound station, and considering the people hanging around Reserve Square, I'd rather be in Tremont. Besides, it's a 10 minute walk to Great Lakes Brewery and West Side Market.
Bottom-line: Go elsewhere to live! This is America, nobody needs to stay in these conditions (and pay the amounts we do).
We have moved out and are returning our key and wanting our deposit back. Knowing how they operate at K&D, I wanted the walk-through now to ensure we can correct anything they may find. I was told they will only walkthrough after our lease expires! I can see this will be another issue with them, so I look forward to updating this site again.
