I moved into Reserve Square 2 1/2 years ago and have enjoyed living here. I have not experienced the bug problems or any of the other things I see on other reviews...am I in the same building as these people' Who knows...but I find it disappointing that they complain about all the nice upgrades K & D have done here and for trying to improve the neighborhood. Extreme changes can freak people out and that's what I think has happened. All I can say is, take a look for yourself and make your own decison.

Of course there are good things at Reserve Square! My experience was for the most part pretty good. However, have you traveled outside your particular residence area in the East Tower and looked at other ones, say on the 5th floor? I have observed that different floors have a fairly different "character." For example, near the end of my stay on the 18th floor, I know that there was frequently a woman who paced the corridor for hours on end in cell phone calls in some foreign language. (Turns out not to have been a problem for me, but I could hear it through the door...) I think the tendency can be to forget that there are "local communities" which occur -- not by design necessarily -- and which take on their own character. To generalize from the local to the whole building is unfair and misleading; experienced readers will know this.
What is not unfair, and what is not misleading, however, is K&D Management's response to locally occurring issues. Whether it's bugs, or people, or screens, or smells, or noise, or fire alarms, -- the constant factor throughout the property is "Management." How they _have_ responded to these other people, is eventually what _you_ can expect.
It is amazing to me that Management has not been adept enough to solve the problems raised in these various reviews. It is simply astonishing that a tenant plagued with "X," whatever it is, would not simply be offered a different unit. These reviews are a gold mine, laundry-list, of things that need fixing, and a marketing and advertisement list of ways to increase their reputation. I think the "professionalism" and experience of the K&D management team -- which we heard about when they moved in -- was really a misnomer for jaded, inured, hardened, and oblivious to tenant complaints and common sense. The fire alarm thing, e.g., is simply beyond belief in this post 9/11 world where EMS and Fire response work has been raised in visibility for its heroism and importance to the community, and one would think that the lawyers advertising on TV would be on this situation like white on rice; that K&D's own lawyers and insurers and the Mayor would be all over K&D like a cheap suit. Apparently, not.
