I'm a current resident of Reserve Square for the past 2.5 years. I feel like it's the best place to live downtown! I feel safe, love my apartment and the office staff always goes above and beyond to help me. A few months ago I had a question about my rent invoice and they took the time to walk me through it step by step. My lease is expiring in a couple months and I definitely plan to stay here. If you are thinking of moving here, you will be happy you did!

i agree...i've also lived in reserve square for 3 years and although it started out okay, i ended up with bed bugs, being awoke by my apt filled with smoke from a fire in the trash chute to not getting back my full deposit from the management due to normal wear and tear that i am not responsible for! this place is a mess...

This place is renowned for its horrible management and poor living conditions. Not only is the premises run down, at least in the apartments and lobby areas, the management is very nasty to deal with. They are slow to fix problems and the place had a long history of rodent infestations and security problems. While they do have some plus in terms of the pool and the location, the staff there are definitely less than helpful. One example of how nasty the management can be is how they deal with the central air conditioning system on especially hot days, four 85 degree plus days in April, refusing to turn it on. This is really reprehensible.

Agreed, this was probably written by management, I'm a current resident and I can't wait to get out of my lease, 1 year was enough!!!! Leasing agents used to be great but they all got replaced by bimbo girls trying to attract the single male clientele that works at Cleveland Clinic. This place is surrounded by section8 housing, and security will make your life miserable!...Lots of false fire alarms, old elevators that take forever when they work, and they will keep your security deposit for normal wear and tear use!! Don't make the same mistake!!!!

I am a medical student planning to take an elective over the summer in the Cleveland Clinic... I just found these reviews and am a bit concerned as had been planning to book Reserve Square. can any of you recommend any other apartments or hotels which would be convenient for the cleveland clinic, but reasonable?

I am also going to be moving to Cleveland in August for a 1 year internship and these reviews have been pretty disappointing. I'm depending on the web and phone calls to make my decision since I want to solidfy my living arrangements before I arrive. Does anyone have specific recommendations? I've heard a lot of bad things about the K & D group as a management company. Any other management companies I should be aware of?

i work in the clinic. I dont think the apartment is as bad as it is portrayed. It is a decent place to stay. I dont think any place in downtown is safe anyway. So reserve square cant be singled out. For me, i have found maintenance requests dealt with promptly. It does have a run down feel to it, but the pool and gym are very good.
