245 E 13th Ave NorthSteppe Apartments

I have lived here for a year and have had everything from termites, which required the wall to be removed, to two bathroom floods in five days. The wall was replaced and painted a different color than the rest of the room. I literally have a two colored living room wall. The landlord refuses to make repairs. As of today, there are three repairs that have not been made even though NorthSteppe has been informed multiple times since April (It's now August) to repair them. Repairs tend to happen only after I contact the city's Code Enforcement as well as OSU's student housing legal clinic.

Other tenants keep pets without notifying the landlord. I pay $25 a month pet rent and a non refundable deposit of $200 for my cats. In the many years I have had my animals, they never once had fleas. In the past three weeks, I have had two infestations which have cost $150 each to rid. They are due to another tenant who has a beagle and admits to the animal having fleas that are untreated. These tenants continue to keep the animal, NorthSteppe does nothing to help, and those of us who are responsible and pay for our animals are left with the great expense of ridding pests from our animals and apartments.

The parking lot is a joke. You pay $200 for a space yet due to the design of the lot, people park behind you and hit your car. While the landlord has asked that roommates park together, not one tenant has abided by that rule and the landlord does not enforce it. Also, tenants from other NorthSteppe lots park here, knowing they won't be towed, leaving those of us who live here to park on the street.

The dumpster is never emptied. Garbage overfills into the parking lot. While other dumpsters in the area are emptied, this one remains full constantly. Garbage blows across the land and our building is simply disgusting in comparison to those surrounding it.

I do not feel safe here as two spent rounds of amunition are imbedded in the exterior wall and multiple small caliber shots have been fired through another tenant's windows.

The noise here is ridiculous even for a campus apartment. I have been kept up until after 4am due to other tenants partying in the hallway. When notified of this, NorthSteppe stuck a note on my door saying I was loud! Funny thing is, my fiance works early and we attempt to go to sleep by 11pm everynight.

Do not rent from NorthSteppe. I have learned my lesson and cannot wait until I move out. I have lived with other campus realtors, such as University Manors, and have never experienced the types of problems this company has. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
