I have lived here for almost 3 years. Granted my apartment is in one of the most well lit and high traffic areas, but I have not had many problems with crime. However, I know it is there. You speak to neighbors about what they here, see the kind of people and cars around, you just know. On top of that they now are part of section 8 housing allowing just about everyone who wants to live there. Drive around the big block of Stelzer, McCutcheon, Sunbury, and Agler, you will see what type of atmosphere you will be living in and judge for yourself.
I have never had a problem with the management staff with rent, repairs, or anything. Simply be smart, write your address on checks, be polite and they will help you however they can. Crawford mgmt is much better than Triangle was, that is what a lot of reports have been written on. They are now beginning to address crime issues by making it a gated community. It will not solve all issues, but it will help.
