Few Complaints

Pros:
Fast maintenance. Though I have had things break a couple of times, maintenance was often able to come that day to fix my problem. I never had to wait more than 36 hours for something that was broken to be fixed. Also, the ladies that worked in the office were really good about following up and making sure that my problems had been fixed.

Friendly staff. I had some issues with my bank, and they waived my fee for paying rent late.

Nice apartment. My apartment was spacious, clean, with newer windows and carpet. I never had a problem with mice or insects.

Extremely pet friendly. Though there is a pet fee, the complex is very accomodating to pets of any size.

Cons:
Not safe. We've had a wave of car break-ins since I moved in, including my car. Management said that they had both security and police patrolling our lots, but I have yet to see either.

Stuff breaks. I had to call four times to get my air conditioning fixed. It seemed as though every time I changed the temperature, it stopped working. I also had to call about my garbage disposal twice.

Wacked out water heater/pressure. The water in my apartment was never consistently hot or cold. Often while taking a shower it would suddenly turn very hot or very cold for no reason. Also, the pressure in the kitchen sink was not good. If you didn't turn it on high enough, the flow would eventually slow and then stop.

Free wireless internet goes out often. It's nice having the free internet, but it went out quite often. Also, the ISP's website has mysteriously gone awol, so it's impossible to call in problems.

Inadequate parking. When I first moved in, parking was not a problem even coming home very late. Since Sept 2005, it's been very difficult to find a parking spot past 11pm leaving many people to park in the grass.

I feel the problems though are outweighed by the positives of the community.
