Gone downhill fast

For the price, I didn't expect luxury in this place, but things have gotten really bad over the last year. The bathroom is falling apart, there was a lot of hidden water damage to the walls (looks like they just temporarily patched it) that is starting to come through, so the walls around the shower are crumbling. They cut a lot of corners, like not properly securing the edges of the carpet or tile so it's curling up on all sides. When we couldn't close our bedroom door, the mainentance solution (instead of checking the hinges or something) was to take a hammer and bash in the framing leaving it horribly dented and the paint flaking off. The grounds are not cared for anymore. There were always disrespectful people throwing trash outside, but a guy went around everyday and picked it up. There's beer cans and bottles and other trash that will lay around for weeks now. A lot of the stairwells are rotting from water damage and I've seen no effort to start repair on that. Gang graffiti has been spray painted on all the buildings, and while most of it was painted over, there's still some remaining because one maintenance guy can't keep up with all that. The parking situation is AWFUL, they send letters saying they're going to tow cars that don't run or don't have valid registratiton, but it never happens and you can't find a place to park after about 7pm. So it's rough on those of us who work second shift, have to park across the complex, and walk alone in the dark at midnight. What it comes down to is they have inadequate staff and they're letting in disrespectful people who ruin the grounds and don't respect their neighbors.

While we understand many of the concerns voiced in your comment, there are several areas that I feel necessary to elaborate on and state what has been done to remedy these issues. With several changes in our maintenance staff, we feel that we now have a team capable of running a property such as Autumn Springs. Many of the issues listed are cared for to the best of our ability. With 242 apartments to serve, our team does whatever possible to address issues in a timely manner, while still providing accurate service. We have also instituted a strict parking pass policy, allowing only 1 pass per resident lease holder and 1 guest pass per apartment. There are sweeps through the property 24 hours a day to ensure that any vehicle without a pass is towed. Anyone seen littering or loitering is sent a letter resulting in charges on their account. If this behavior is in excess, the resident is sent a notice to vacate the apartment, or be evicted. It is largely necessary to understand, that in order to have a great community, residents have to take pride in their home and neighborhood. Those who do not will eventually suffer from their lack of care. While this is considered ???disrespectful??? on their part, we attempt to resolve these issues as we are made aware of them. Graffiti is now professionally removed within 72 hours of it being noticed. This is to ensure that new graffiti is discouraged due to the fact that it will not be up long enough to draw large amounts of attention. I assure you that each comment you have made will be considered and used as a learning device for our staff.
