Apartments are not Luxury!

The apartments are old and not kept up well on the inside. They advertise central air, but it is not central air. Summers are cold in the damp wet basement and hot as an oven upstairs in your bedroom. Winters you freeze downstairs and hot as an oven upstairs. Management makes too many excuses for maintenance. Maintenance comes to fix your problem, but half does the job. Lots of patch work going on! It's a great location but the places are not worth the money and management will show you a nice apartment, but yours won't look anything like the one you get! They are really shady and fake acting.

Just some advice. I never rent a place based on a model unit. Always ask to see the unit you will actually move into. The problem with the heating and cooling is in my opinion a fundamental design flaw. POOR VENT PLACEMENT. Not something that can be fixed. Hot air rises, live with it or move on. I can live with it. Maintenance has fixed the things that are easy and reasonable to fix for me. Another thing hard to fix, is the sliding patio doors don't slide well. Lubing helps a bit, temporarily. Don't expect them to rip out the sliding doors and replace them.

When they are advertising Luxury, thats what I expect! POOR VENT PLACEMENT, not my fault! I have lived in upstairs apartment as well as 2 story and have not had this problem and the complex did not pretend to be LUXURY! As far as living with it, you are not me and I shouldn't have to live with it and get rediculous utility bills trying to stay cook. This complex could put in ceiling fans, which I suggested and I was told to do so at my own cost. I refuse to pay and electrician for something that should be done by this complex. They shouldn't advertise central air if there is none!

I'm totally on the person who is complaining their is nothing luxury about living at barrington square units are run down they've painted over the doors so many times they stick in the summer time from humidity. instead of getting new doors inner with nice glass doors on the outer to make it look classy they painted all the doors a dismal ugly brown. These places will run you in the ground with utility bills places are old they are not energy efficient air conditioning is not central air and the systems are flawed and dont cool apartments the right way. And to top it off they are letting alot of trashy residents move in from once was a quiet good going community is turning into section eight housing i coud keep going on but ill have to write a book. Management is nieve to the fact just because on eperson has good credit they get approve they move in the whole gang of family members who are not suppose to be here in the first place and they do nothing casue money is more important which is why good residents are moving out and more in the future. Let them have the trash and we will move to a real luxury complex which their is quite a few that blow this complex away by far.
