Countryside apartments are now being managed by Andrea. The area has seen a huge increase in crime. Do not be fooled when they tell you they have security, fact is they have a VOLUNTEER security person who only drives through the complex when he feels like it, he does nothing more than drive by to try and deter crime but will not stop to do anything even if he sees crime in progress. There have been a lot of car vandalism, break-ins to both apartments and cars, thefts of property, do not leave anything outside it will be stolen. When Andrea/rental office was told about crime in the apartment complex they basically turned a blind eye and did not want to deal with it. Rental office is well known for spinning tales in order to pull new residents in. There is a huge turnover in apartment rentals because a lot of people are breaking their leases, which is profitable for the apartments because they collect the fee and then turn around and re-rent same day so they do not care if their residents are unhappy. All "festivities" that were once part of Countryside and is still used as a selling point for the apartments do NOT occur anymore, again driving home that they do not care about their residents, other than the green in their pockets.

I agree with you. There were all types of activities that used to take place like wine tastings, barbecues, resident parties etc. I will not be renewing my lease when it comes up in April of 2010. I have been blessed in not having experienced the crime aspect. But, I have noticed that the caliber of people moving in seems to be heading downhill. More than likely they have started taking section 8 or some type of housing voucher program and have neglected to tell us people who are paying our market rent and actually care about where we live. So long Countryside, it was fun while it lasted.
