My husband and I moved to English Village about seven months ago. This is our first home outside of our parents houses and first home living together. It's perfect.
Pros:
Affordable
Lots of space - 3 stories plus basement
Able to paint
Fenced in yards
Driveways
Fast maintanace
Friendly neighbors
Close to grocery stores, restaurants, retail, parks, etc.
Cons:
Unsupervised kids running in streets
Can sometimes hear neighbors if they're stomping or screaming
Many drivers don't pay attention to speed limit through the neighborhood
Can sometimes hear airplanes from Port Columbus and trains
Overall, English Village is definitely a wonderful place for my husband and I. I would recommend this neighborhood in a heart beat. My husband and I plan on staying here for 2-3 years since it is so affordable so we can save our extra money to move into a nice house. As for now, it's perfect for our little family - me, my husband, and our little puppy :)
