It's June 18th & the pool isn't open yet. Last year it was open on Memorial Day. I think there is something wrong with it but I don't see anyone working to fix it. They're draining it alot though. Hope it's up before the end of summer. That's the only amenity that we adults have, unless you count the broken down tennis court & "fitness room" that you have to pay a deposit to get the key to. Oh, this review is making me day something about the laundry situation here. Ha, when the various facilities aren't closed for months at a time for repair, doing laundry is like playing slots. You never know if the dryer you plunk your money into is going to be a winner & actually work. This place is so ghetto it's not even funny.

I just moved out of Essington and I agree! The pool was only open for about a month this year! They kept saying that they were workign on it and sent out this ignorant "Community News Letter" actually telling residents to stop calling about the pool. They said they would let us know when it was open. And I paid for the fitness key and the only good piece of machinery in there was the eliptical machine. The "ab machine" was broke and all the other weight machines were useless. I normally can only lift about 30 - 40 lbs but I had to do 80 because the machines didn't work! It's scary to go there at night. I went in once and there was already a guy there. he looked like he was finishing up but took his time. I could see his reflection in the window and he kept stopping and just staring at me! (I always keep a can of mace on me when I go anywhere in that community thankfully.) He finally left only for me to realize that there was MAINTENANCE WORKER standing outside the leasing office staring at me too. I was so irritated and a little nervous and left. In the year that I've had a key to the "fitness center" I've only used it twice.
