Just looked at my water bill which is DOUBLE what I normally pay in a month. So, I called the company that handles the water bill and found out some VERY INTERESTING FACTS!

If you live at the Estates you are charged water and sewer based on the number of occupants in your apartment. You are required to pay your PORTION of the overall APARTMENT COMPLEX'S WATER BILL. So.....this means YOU ARE PAYING FOR EVERYONE'S WATER WHETHER YOU WANT TO OR NOT!! So if the MAINTENENCE GUYS leave the HOSE on and run water like crazy (which I have seen happen a few times) -- that means YOU ARE PAYING FOR IT TOO!

WHAT A BUNCH OF FREAKIN CROCK.

Oh and by the way -- I thought there were breed restrictions on dogs in this place. But evidentally not -- because I have some pet owners walking some pit-bulls and other breeds that are considered dangerous.

And of course, when I walked the dog on Tuesday night, the bins for the dog waste was overflowing, smelling and definitely a health hazard.

I am sooooooooo glad my lease is up and some other sucker gets to live in my apartment,

As far as your comments about the water billing process, please let me explain to you why you are wrong in so ways. The City of Columbus sends The Estates the entire bill for the property, that is then sent to AUM and then AUM bills the Estates- of the ENTIRE property/residential bills The Estates pays the top 45% of the bill and the remaining amount is divided over the residents based on the # of people in the apartment (and mind you that any infant under the age of 1 is NOT considered an occupant). I will say that at one time I was a member of the staff at The Estates and I personally handled the AUM accounts so I know just how wrong you are! I have no ties to The Estates being that I now live in North Carolina and have for some time so that is by no reason why I chose to comment on here. Lets get real and post reviews based on facts and not on how you comprehend the situation. To also comment on the agressive breeds of dogs- try to remember that The Estates is located in a desirable school district and close to many major corporations, with that being said local corporate housing providers such as Bridgestreet, Marriott Execustay, etc. rent apartments thru The Estates and move their "own" tenants in and out- to be truely honest the application process and background checks are done thru the corp. housing providers and not The Estates. Maybe try being a good resident and raise your concerns over the breeds of dogs you see while walking to the office so that the staff may notify the proper people to have the pet removed! This is not rocket science, as a tenant you too have a responsibility in this matter!! Oh and by the way so you are not mistaken when you choose to trash my response you can address me by my name and that is Jady.
