Please don't get stuck in a year lease with this new management, you will likely regret it.

The Island Club apartment complex has gone downhill since The Connor Group took over. Aimco was great, good customer service, attentive to the tenants needs and prompt resolutions to any maintenance concerns, but now it is literally the complete opposite. The connor group does not provide any type of customer service to the tenants, they are not working to maintain the grounds and frankly it's becoming a horrible complex. There is trash all over the complex, if you're considering moving here I would suggest driving around to inspect the grounds first, focusing on the grass especially because you're guaranteed to find trash there. Also, the apartments are outdated and not comparable in price, size or quality to the other options out there, don't be fulled by the mismatch "luxury apartments" sign.
The new management has only had control of the complex for 2 months and there is already a huge difference in the appearance, I hate to imagine what it will look like a year from now. Before moving to Island Club or any other property managed by The Connor Group read the review posted for the management and maintenance staff, because you will find many similarities, they do not take care of their properties or their tenants. The rent has been raised, but the apartments are still the same, there are no renovations, new appliances or even new cabinets (the current cabinets and appliances are horribly outdated). Normally I read each comment and take everything said with a grain of salt, but the comments posted thus far are right on and I haven't read one false statement. Although I'm sure there will probably be some positive comments posted soon, because according to the comments listed on the other properties managed by the Connor Group, they management staff is trained to post positive feedback online.
Please just think twice before renting here. It would be well worth your time to inspect the grounds and the apartment you're renting before signing anything or even completing an application. I cannot wait to move out of here and have decided to avoid renting from the Connor Group ever again in life! Unfortunately I will not be renting from Aimco again either, because they are selling alot of their properties to the Connor Group. I have a suggestion for a new slogan, "The Connor Group, Unprofessionalism at its best!". I strongly dislike living here now and I cannot wait to move, but my move out date can't come soon enough.

Like this person said - walk around the grounds before deciding to live here. Look at the air conditioning units all clogged up and the pipes around them in terrible condition. Look at the goose poop all over the sidewalks so you have to dodge around it or step in poop. Look at the trash blowing all over the place. Come back at 6:30-7pm and see how hard it is to find a parking space once everyone comes home from work. They don't show you these things on the tour!

I've lived here for over five years and this is the worst it's ever been. I'm heartbroken over the new "management" (mismanagement is a better term) and ownership. The ownership has absolutely no pride. They are in it for the money only...it's absolutely apparent for those of us who have lived here for any amount of time. Units are going unfilled when they used to get filled immediately. LUXURY APARTMENT signs are definitely FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. There is nothing LUXURY about this place. The management team is extremely unprofessional. Urgent notices are left on doors with less than 8 hours to respond. Telephone messages are left by management without any reason for the call and when you try to return the call, you can't get anyone to answer the phone at the office! Don't waste your money at this place. Spend your money at a place you will be proud to call home. Believe all the comments here...you WILL NOT be proud to call this place home. People are moving out. Empty units aren't being filled. Drive around...talk to tenants before moving in. It's not good! Don't move here!
