Poor Price and Tenant Control

I have to agree wholeheartedly with the previous reviewers! The incremental increase in rent is unreasonable over $45 dollars for me, also a $30 increase in utilities within a short time. You are also paying for everything in those units so any kind of increase hurts. They have added additional charges such as: Pest control, Common Electric and administrative fees, I was not previously being charged for these items.
The Water bill is not a per unit charge, it is charged on how much water is used by the building as a whole. I don t even use the water that much, since I am never around. So I am paying for somebody else s water usage. I called to ask why my water bill keeps going up and I was told because the whole buildings water usage is up, that is ridiculous! I feel like they are taking me to the bank! I also asked the utility company about the additional charges, they stated that it s up to the landlords of the complex to add those additional charges per my lease. To the landlords credit, I did read my lease and found that they did include that. So they do have free rein to abuse me whenever they want, by adding charges, and I will not allow it anymore! What s next, a landscaping charge, no let me guess, a roofing charge, how about a parking lot repavement charge'
Good luck trying to retain good tenants by driving the costs up! What you do have
left behind are the new tenants who are lured in on the guise of free rent and low initial rent for the first year. These tenants have no track record at the complex and have turned it into a Mexican Barrio! What s the use of attracting tenants that will be evicted eventually' I have dealt firsthand with issues affecting me, here is a short list: noise pollution, trash everywhere, illegal parking, large gatherings of people, laundry facility is a disaster, and children running around unattended. This can be attributed too the rule breaking tenants everywhere! The ones that do stay longer are also illegally keeping multiple non tenants per unit to afford the costs. I don t know what the other buildings are like in this complex, but that s how it is where I am at. I must also add that I have killed a couple of roaches just recently. That is the last straw for me! I keep my unit clean and food items secured. I attribute this problem to the unhygienic tenants around me, whose roaches are infesting the building now. Perhaps that is why I am being charged for pest control now.
To the credit of the management, they have been professional and friendly and have addressed issues that I have had immediately. They have made some structural improvements to the complex also. Though I think when it comes to bad tenants that they are taking a reactive approach, and not a proactive one. They shouldn t allow letting them live there on the first place. The Company that owns this complex must learn how to retain good tenants through price control of rent and utilities over time and stringent control over who they rent to initially to avert future problems!

I dont agree paying for someone else to use of the water. its ridiculus. Will move somewhere else, there are place where you only pay water usage straight no hiden fees.

The water isn't building metered it's the WHOLE COMPLEX!!! So that apartment with 19 people who take 20 showers a day doesn't help
