All in all, a great apartment community

These are good apartments. Reading some other reviews, I have to laugh -- folks, if you choose to live in a multi-unit apartment complex, there are some things you're just going to have to learn to live with. Other neighbors may have pets they don't always pick up after. Neighbors may be noisy at some times. Things may break. This is standard stuff. These are buildings with walls and vents and windows, not magic boxes -- if someone upstairs goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night when everything is silent, yes, you'll hear it! The same will happen if you own your own home! Sound travels! One suggestion: train tracks parallel the complex and some units along that side of the road are triple-insulated (to cut down on train noise). We found it helped with other noise, too (and we really couldn't hear the train at all).

Overall I thought this complex was very nice. As others have said they are best for a quiet person; no crazy social scene here. Sidewalks would be very nice, as the road is the only way to the mailboxes/clubhouse and people do speed down it. We always enjoyed the amenities -- pool, free coffee, pool table, party rentals, always were great. I have never played so much pool in my life. Staff was always great to us. We never found the maintenance man "creepy" -- he is an older man and works hard, and does live on-site. I think if you take the time to learn his name and get to know him you'll find him quite normal and helpful! Rent is high -- but what else is new' These are safe, new units with Corian counters, new carpeting, lots of space, working appliances, etc.! If you want to spend half the amount on rent head over to the Bethel or Sawmill areas or head east, and see what the units are like (old, dingy, worn, less safe, scary, etc.). You get what you pay for. (The Olympic twin gymnasts "the Hamm twins" also lived (or live') at the complex -- was fun to bump into them before and after their success at the Olympics!)

We enjoyed our time at Marble Cliff and although we now own a home we liked renting there. If you can afford it, it's a pleasant place and is convenient to shopping, dining out and highways to get you around town. Definitely worth a look.
