When moving in 2 years ago, we were elated with Northwoods. The management was available and helpful, the maintainance staff was courteous and knowledgable, and the price was very fair. Since then, I believe the prices have become inflated and the entire staff has changed over. They also seem to be more bound by AIMCO, and unable to work with residents to resolve any issues. The lease agreements have also started to have fierce penalties for leaving early or even at the end of the lease without two months notice. As with anywhere, read the lease thoroughly. The property is quiet and very dog-friendly, though, and we have had nice neighbors, in spite of the rapid turnover. We have just been saddened with unresponsiveness from the leasing office, or some of the agents not being allowed by AIMCO to help us. I am glad that others seem to have had better experiences than we've had. Hopefully others will, also, and I hope ours is an isolated experience. Although, I have noticed that the positive reviews were under the old administration, before a good deal of changeover happened both there and above them.
