My husband and I researched apartments in the Cloumbus area due to a transfer. After using THIS web site and others we narrowed it down to a few. Our first impression was, WOW what a great staff(we had delt with Rachel).
We were extremly mislead.
We filled out our app. on a Monday morning, Monday evening they called and said they would not pay to get my husbands income verifaction. With his employer, you have to call a secure # and pay a few dollars to verify income. So, we agreed to fax in pay stubs.
ALL day Tuesday he attempted to fax them in. Tuesday afternoon Suzie called and said her fax did not work and we needed to keep trying. I said I could drop them off the next afternoon.
WED afternoon I dropped them off. Wed about 5pm I called and she said she had misplaced the stubs and didn't know who's they were, she found them and said we were approved. I asked to have Rachel call me the next am. Thursday am I called and left another message for Rachel, that afternoon I called her back after I still had not gotten a call from her. This time she agreed to met us Saturday am to sign the lease. I went to give her a certified check for our deposit and money that day (Thursady).
My husband went to sign the lease on Saturday am, the lease was still not ready. Rachel had agreed at our first meeting to a 30 day notice 1 month termination transfer clause if my husband were to be transfered with his employer. This lease stated a 45 day notice and a 2 month tranfer notice plus the apartment was on special and we would have to pay the difference in the special if we were transfered.
SCAM SCAM SCAM!! we asked for our check back and they would only give to us if we gave them $100. The amount of the deposit stating we had 72 hours from our aproval to change our mind. You do the math we were not approved until WED evening this was SAT AM!!!
They said we were approved on monday, WHY did they need the income verification''''
VERY RUDE LIED ANND TRIED TO TRICK US IN THE LEASE!! I will sue for my $100 back go anywhere but here. Plus pot holes everywhere.

Sounds somewhat what we had happen to us. Took us for a ride adding on cost..and when my husband said no kept our deposit. Very shady practices.
