A recent scare

I moved into River Oaks in Oct. My friend recommended it to me. I loved the large spaces, easy commute to downtown, and the reasonable rates. I have never had problems with the maitenance. I felt extremely safe there, until a car full of hoodlems came to my apartment, banging on my door. I didn't answer, but they were yelling out a name of a former resident that use to live in my apartment (I know this because I still get his mail). I waited until they left the apartment and thought nothing of it again, until a deputy sheriff came to my door, looking for the same person. I told him he didn't live here, and he warned me that I need to call 911 if the hoodlems show up again. The next day, two apartments were broken into in the same building. Not sure if there was any realtion, but I called the leasing office to report my incident and concern about the others. After 5 calls and no answer, I left a message and no one has called me back. This is a serious issue, and I think if the building managment cared about the saftey of their residents, that they would do something about this issue. I know bad things happen everywhere, but this is a major concern that River Oaks needs to be prepared and on the look-out for, and I see no action or precautions taking place.
