I lived in Runaway Bay apartments for two years and just moved out this summer. My husband and I loved it. It only took about 10 minutes to get downtown and to OSU, but it still felt like we were living out in the country. I really like the outdoors and the lake was beautiful. I would go for walks there in the evening, and there were private spots to sit on the cliff edges and watch the sun set. Gorgeous.

We liked the actual apartment, too. The maintenance guys fixed issues immediately, not that we had many. It was very quiet. The only time we heard people was when a noisy couple moved in and they screamed at one another at the top of their lungs. No apartment in the world could have kept their noise. When they moved away, we forgot we had neighbors, it was so quiet. I heard rumors of cars getting broken into at night, but we never had anything taken from us. Also, we were a little annoyed with the new management because they didn't sent us a bill each month and didn't let us do internet bill pay anymore. All the new staff seemed nice, though. We worked hard to clean up the apartment when we left and we got our full deposit back.

I would highly recommend the apartments

This review is spot on. Couldn't have said it better myself. Simply the best place in Columbus if you want proximity to downtown, yet some natural beauty. I moved out a few years ago, and I've heard the management has lost some luster, but it's still a great place to live.
