I recently moved out of sawmill village and if your thinking about moving in I would definately make sure you think long and hard about how much you like to walk halfway across the apartment complex to get to your car, and carrying your trashbags down three floors then accross the complex to the one trash dumpster/compactor. Then think about how fun that would be in the winter. Also OSU football weekends can turn this place into a college campus, with beer bottles all over the ground, and dissrespectful residents and guests, vomiting in the bushes or corners, sometimes even urinating outdoors. Does the management care about these activites, aparently not because they do nothing to control it. They claim to have a courtesy officer, which I saw maybe one time in the complex during my residency. Back to parking though, the management will do nothing about those who park in the resident parking areas without parking passes. There was one incident I can remember where a car without a parking sticker was parked in the resident parking, in two parking spaces, at about 10pm. I had noticed this same car had parked in the resident parking several times before without a sticker so I decided to call the towing company who serves the parking lots in the complex. They told me they couldnt do anything without some code that the management of sawmill village has, and that the lot isnt even a patrolled lot. So I called the emergency maintenance, who tried to charge me $50 for the late call, the guy who answered the call said he didnt have the code and he wasnt going to do anything about it, and then tried to fight with me about it so I hung up. Good news to the guests of sawmill village residents, park anywhere they wont do anything about it. lol. On to maintenance, they will enter your aparmtent at their own will, no warning, very illegal. As far as the grounds, watch your step near the pond, there are goose droppings everywhere, the lighting in the parking lots turn on and off all the time and the overgrown trees and shubs near the sidewalks block out any light anyway so maybe you should consider a body guard or carry some type of self defence device or skills for those long walks to your apartment from your car thats parked across the complex. Or better yet walk in the street where you could be hit by cars at least there's light there, if the lights aren't burnt out that is.

Im currently residing in Sawmill Village and have been for almost 2 yrs..The only reason I re-signed my lease was because I had procrastinated on finding someplace else to live otherwise I would have definely moved from their high price apartments a long time ago..As far as the previous complaint it is true that you have to carry your trash down the steps, unless you are on the 1st floor and walk over to the dumpster to dispose of it. However I live on the other side of the apartment complex on the 3rd fl and have to carry my trash down 3 flights of stairs, load it in my car, and drive it over to get rid of it..its ridiculous!!! The parking is also horrible and i have noticed so many times people parking in the lots with no stickers and never get towed..but on one occasion when i was leaving for work i went down the stairs and noticed they had towed my dam car because i didnt have a sticker--funny how that worked out..i had to pay 100.00 to get my car back and sawmill village did nothing about it--even though i was a new resident at the time..my recommedation find another place to live!! they chalk it up to be this and that..but there are so many better places to live where you can dump your trash at a near distance and have a place to park without getting towed or having to walk a mile to get to you home..
