Obviously living in an apt. you will have to deal with some unwanted neighborly issues. And yes from time to time that might be the smell of their cooking, but they probably dont really enjoy the smell of your hamburger helper either. I live here and when I read all of these complaints I find it so annoying. Do people really have nothing better do with their lives than to go online and complain endlessly about known facts about apartment living' If you dont like it, buy a house. Its not perfect here but its an apartment and its cheap. Get over it.

You must work for the complex because the "smells" are unbearable and the rent increases each year are unjustifiable. I've lived here for a couple of years and I am definitely MOVING. Sawmill Village is like the roach motel,..once you check in,..you can't check out EARLY otherwise you will owe another two months of rent as a penalty,..per the contract. If you think management would be reasonable and work with you on moving out early,..THEY WON'T. The latest property manager (and there is quite a bit of turnover I understand) acts like a prison warden. Be careful if you are looking to rent here. It will be a mistake.
