It's quite interesting that you have lived there for 4 years considering your comments!! If the place is that bad, which I'm a tennant also and have not experienced the same problems, why don't you move to one of the 100 other apartment complexes in Columbus!!! Also, are you respectful and patience in your requests because you aren't the only people living here.I'm sure they take care of things due to importance and first, come first serve basis. KINDNESS GETS YOU FURTHER!!! I've had several issues, but it eventually got taken care of with a smile! The issues of greater importance where taken care of quicker than what i've ever expected. Unfortunately, things break in an apartment just as they do in a home or vehicle, they do a great job of trying to resolve the issue without inconveniencing us. Regarding the parking situation, if you toured the property, you would noticed the amount of parking, you should not have signed a lease if that would be a problem. The parking lots don't grow with water! Pay attention, when you move into a new community. The lighting, yes this is a problem, but have any of you noticed that there are new lighting in some of the areas!! You all seem able to complain, how about starting a watch program to keep your neighbors safe if you feel the neccesity. Unfortunately, the people in the office don't have open ended checkbooks that would allow them to purchase everything immediately, they have upper management, company procedures/policies to follow. Do any of you have jobs of your own to know that there are policies and procedures that you have to go through, management who authorizes big purchases, additional staffing, special favors/requests. That's why there are policies! Regarding electricity bills, how do you expect them to fix that, they don't set the rates--- call AEP--- Have you compared other properties equivalants''' For pdub, I'm sorry to hear about your illness, however, maybe you should contact AEC re: removing those late fees. The people in the office don't target certain people, that is the policy, which it states in our lease, they can't help what the corporate office instills, they have to pay their own rent/mortgages you can't expect them to do things to loose their job and hurt their families wellfare. If you look at other properties you too would see they require late fees for late payments. Have you noticed that most agencies, such as credit card companies do so also''' Be glad, they just charge a one time fee instead of raising your rent every month DUE to the late payment, like credit card companies do. This is standard practice in america people, whether you rent or own. Unfortunately, I had to make a late payment due to things out of my control, but I knew what to expect when it happened. Maybe we should have a meeting to voice some concerns however, all residents should be invited to attend. Not everyone here is miserable and everyone should have the opportunity to be heard. I've found that the office staff is more than willing to assist me on my requests and the maintenance staff uses their knowledge to deliver their services on a timely basis with a smile. The staff here do try to make this an enjoyable place to live by doing even little things, how many of you enjoyed breakfast to go or dinner on the run. Just a few nice jesters made by WHO'''' THE STAFF. I know what it is like to work in customer service, please remember they are human also, and somethings just are out of their control. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!
