This is probably the single worst place I've ever lived. To start with, the price of rent is absolutely rediculous. I'm paying twice as much for a one bedroom here, as I did for a two bedroom closer to campus. Granted, Sterling looks much better on the outside; after you've lived here for a while, you discover the dark underbelly that is Sterling Place Apartments.
The maintanence guys here aren't too bad, but the management is absolutely deplorable. Every time you call in to get a repair done (namely porcelain soapdish along with tiles FALLING OF THE SHOWER WALL and ripping one's leg open), it takes days, if not weeks to get this accomplished. I can't blame the maintanence crew for this. It's obvious that the management here is completely inept, and you can't expect the guy to be able to do his job in a timley manner. I say the maintance guy is doing the best he can given the idiots he works for.
I could go on all night, but I'll stop here. I think you get my point. Avoid this place at all cost.
