Not the best place but not the worst

Templeton is a nice place, but does have some downfalls. I have lived here for about a year now and I do plan to renew my lease. I currently live in a one bedroom up front near Hilliard-Rome. The apartment is very nice, like brand new actually. The management has recently changed due to our manager being out on maternity leave, so that is understandable. Any time we have had a problem and talked to the office about it they have done all they could to acommodate us. Our car has been broken into twice, but that could happen anywhere.
As for our neighbors...most are very friendly, but don't speak much English. At least once a week we hear someone knocking on the neighbor's door, and if they don't answer they beat louder and will keep on beating for about a half hour then they finally give up. The review that talked about "10 -------- living in a 1 BR apartment" is very true. During the warm months there are large groups of young Latino men who congregate in the parking lot at night, which can be kinda scary when you don't know them and can't understand what they are saying as you walk by. They do stare but I have never been threatened in any way, but my husband is always with me so that could be why, I don't really know. Once they get used to you being there and realize that they can't intimidate you they pretty much leave you alone.

In the winter months the snow removal is pretty much non existant. Occasionally they will put some salt on the sidewalks, but they parking lot is a sheet of ice...I actually feel and hurt my knee once. If the ice and snow are there for about a week they do end up plowing the parking lot.

The pool area is very nice. It is fully equipped with loungers and chairs and there are outlets if you want to bring a radio. There are a lot of kids there so if that annoys you-don't go to the pool. If you go early in the day right when it opens or late in the evening around 5 or 6 it is pretty empty.

Overall, it isn't a bad place to live. You will find the occasional beer cans in the parking lot, and if you live close to Hilliard Rome you can hear the traffic, but if you can live with that you'll like it here. It's very clean inside the apartments, and seems to be built well. I would recommend Templeton Crossing to those who aren't picky about their neighbors and who want a nice apartment to live in for a good price!
